Happy Ending
Mika's "Happy Ending"
WHY IT MADE THE LIST:
I'm a sucker for songs like this. The title says, "Happy Ending" but it's far from a happy song and I guess I like the irony or whatever you want to call it. It's a song about a break up where one of the people can't sleep and is trying to get over it. He understands that it should be over, but the relationship didn't really end the way it should have. They are no longer friends but enemies; "little bit of hell...." The piano adds a simplicity and sadness that seems to make me listen to it over and over again. (I'm not a bitter sad person I swear!)But my absolute favorite part of the song is the choral crescendo near the end and Mika's trademark high pitched voice backing up harmoniously with the choir. It's what I like to call "epic." I can pretty much guarantee that this song will always be one of my favorites.

Lyrics:
This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.
Wake up in the morning, stumble on my life
Can't get no love without sacrifice
If anything should happen, I guess I wish you well
A little bit of heaven, but a little bit of hell
This is the hardest story that I've ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wasted
And I'm wastin' every day
This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.
2 o'clock in the morning, something's on my mind
Can't get no rest; keep walkin' around
If I pretend that nothin' ever went wrong, I can get to my sleep
I can think that we just carried on
This is the hardest story that I've ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wasted
And I'm wastin' every day
This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.
A Little bit of love, little bit of love
Little bit of love, little bit of love[repeat]
I feel as if I'm wasted
And I waste everyday
This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
To live the rest of our life,
But not together.
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,

To live the rest of our life,
But not together.

About Me
About Us
What is music without words?
Even those songs that leave us with nothing but different sounds, they still paint a picture in our minds and hearts, leaving behind a legacy, a story
once heard. An impression is made and there's no going back
Dj Dostoy believed in a man's words and felt for his stories
so he chose to stand behind his name, Dostoyevsky. His words portrayed human nature and emotion in both suffering and joy. Lyrics and music in songs also strive to portray these elements of life.
For Madame Cymbeline, music is an expression of something deeper and
something felt but not always readily understood.
She chose a name that came from a man who created something deeper
and full of passion and which is commonly misunderstood, Shakespheare.
What we like most about music is that it is not always what it seems. To one person a song could mean something entirely different than it does to the person standing beside them. Music is abut life and a reaction to living that life. Perhaps a chance to let go and be free to feel something different or a time to reflect on the past while looking ahead to the future.
This can be done through rock, pop, classical, indie, broadway musical, and all kinds of genres. All of which will probably make it on here.
This is our music.
Enjoy,
DJ Dostoy and Madam Cybeline
